Role: Production Support Engineer

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Support Engineer to join our
dynamic team. As a Production Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the
seamless operation of our production systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background
in production support, expertise in SQL (preferably Oracle), familiarity with ticketing tools, and a
basic understanding of the ETL process.

Key Responsibilities

Ticket Management

• Handle and resolve 30 - 40 tickets weekly.
• Execute ETL start and cancellation processes for dealers.
• Manage hierarchy setup and removal tasks for dealers.

Minor Work Object Handling

• Process car care files and address related tickets.
• Perform OEM-specific data refresh activities.
• Fulfill data purge requests as needed.
• Add client-supplied data to the client portal [CMS].
• Remove logos from the client portal using backend SQL scripts.

Additional Responsibilities

Monthly Patching Activity (Sundays):

• Conduct patching activities for Windows SQL server.

Quarterly Support (Sundays):

• Provide support in Unix patching activities.

Ad-Hoc Support (Sundays):

• Assist in other activities as required by the client.

Requirements

Experience

• Approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive production support.
• Proficient in Oracle and SQL for database management.
• Familiarity with ETL Tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or SSIS.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Proficient in shell scripting for automation and task efficiency.
• Basic understanding of Python programming language.
• Prior experience working in US Shift - PST hours is a plus.

Task Management

• Proven ability to manage and resolve 30 - 40 tickets weekly and 5 - 10 tickets monthly.

Communication

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to support patching activities on Sundays as required.
