Infoobject's Integrator is designed to provide instant customized failover to user applications by closely integrating it with the application. It reduces the failover time from few minutes to few seconds. Infoobject Integrator provides a kernel module which uses the Distributed Shared Memory (DSM) to replicate the application specific state on to the secondary server. Periodically user application is expected to commit its state (using the APIs provided by Integrator) which will be replicated on to the secondary node transparently

In the event of primary node failure, the application's last checkpointed state would be available on the standby node. Thus, unlike other High Available products available in the market today, with Infoobject's Integrator the complete application restart is not needed.
